عن علي رضي الله عنه أنه كره للجارية أن تُخفض حتى تبلغ سبع سنين

It is related from ‘Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that he disliked for young girls to be reduced [i.e. circumcised] until they reached seven years of age.
