Rabi’ ibn Sabra related that his father told him that he was with the Messenger of Allah (SAW) and He said: Oh people, truly I had given you permission for the enjoyment [istimta', i.e. mut'a] of women, but indeed Allah has made that forbidden until resurrection day.
