أما النكاح فمتفق فيه شرعاً وعادةً فإنه دليل الكمال وصحة الذكورية ولم يزل التفاخر بكثرته عادة معروفة والتمادح به سيرة ماضية وأما في الشرع فسنّة مأثورة وقد قال إبن عباس أفضل هذه الامة أكثرها نساءً مشيراً إليه ﷺ وقد قال ﷺ تناكحوا تناسلوا فإني مباهٍ بكم الأمم

Marital relations [nikah] are in concordance with sacred law [shariah] and with custom; for indeed it is evidence of integrity and healthy masculinity. Boasting of doing it a lot remains a well-known custom, and mutual praise for it is a way of old. As regards the sacred law, it is a way of life [sunnah] that has been handed down. Ibn ‘Abbas said: The best of this ummah are those of it who have the most women, indicating Him (SAW). And He (SAW) said: Have marital relations among yourselves and procreate, for indeed I will boast of you among the nations.
