Abu Sa’id said: We went out with the Messenger of Allah (SAW) to attack Banu Al-Mustaliq and secured some captives from the Arab captives, and we desired the women, and abstinence became very intense for us. We were fond of withdrawal [‘azl; i.e. coitus interruptus] and wanted to do it, but we said: Shall we do withdrawal with the Messenger of Allah (SAW) around, before we ask Him? So we asked Him about it and He said: It is no concern for you not to do it; any living being that is to exist for resurrection day will exist.
