From Abu Al-Yasar who said: A woman came to me selling dates, and I said: Indeed there are better dates than these inside the house. So she entered the house with me, and I desired her, and I kissed her. Then I went to Abu Bakr and mentioned this to him, and he said: Guard yourself, repent, and do not tell anyone. But I couldn’t bear it so I went to ‘Umar and mentioned it to him, and he said: Guard yourself, repent, and do not tell anyone. But I couldn’t bear it so I went to the Messenger of Allah (SAW) and I mentioned it to Him, and He said: Is this how you take care of the woman of someone fighting in the cause of Allah?! To the point that he [Abu Al-Yasar] wished he had only entered into Islam at that moment, thinking that he belonged with the people of hellfire. He said: Then the Messenger of Allah (SAW) was quiet for a long time, until Allah revealed to Him { Establish prayer at the two ends of the daytime and the first parts of the night } up to His word { A remembrance for those who make remembrance } [Hud 114]. Abu Al-Yasar said: Then I went to Him and the Messenger of Allah (SAW) recited it to me. His Companions said: Oh Messenger of Allah, is this a special case or for people in general? He said: Well for people in general.
