{ Oh children of Adam, take hold of your adornment at every place of worship [masjid] } Al-A’raf 31

Ibn ‘Abbas related that women would go around the house [i.e. the sacred house, Ka’ba] naked – he said in another instance "without garments" – except that women would put a cloth over their vaginas, according to what has been described, Allah willing, and they would say: Today some of it or all of it is showing, and I do not permit what is showing. He said: So this verse came down { Take hold of your adornment at every place of worship } .
