Malik ibn Sa’sa’a (may Allah be pleased with him) related that the Prophet of Allah (SAW) told them about the night He was taken up in the night journey: “While I was in Al-hatim” – or maybe He said Al-hijr – “lying down, someone came to me and sliced” – I heard Him say split – “from here to here.” (I said to Al-Jarud who was next to me: What does He mean by that? He said: From the groove by His throat to His pubic hair – or I heard him say from His sternum to His pubic hair.) “Then he took out my heart, and a golden basin filled with belief was brought to me, and my heart was washed and filled.”
