From Jabir ibn Abdullah who said: The Jews brought a man and a woman from among them who had committed adultery. He said: Bring me the two most learned men from among you; and they brought two sons of Suriya and He adjured them: What do you find in the Torah regarding these two? They said: We find in the Torah that whenever four witnesses testify that they saw his penis in her vagina, like a make-up stick in its case, both of them are stoned. He said: And what prevents you from stoning them? They said: We no longer have authority, and we dislike killing. Then the Messenger of Allah (SAW) called for the witnesses, and they brought four, who testified that they had seen his penis in her vagina like a make-up stick in its case; and the Messenger of Allah (SAW) ordered that they both be stoned.
