Al-Hasan related that a group of the Companions of the Prophet (SAW) got together and said: We should have sent a messenger to the mothers of the believers to ask them about the actions ascribed to Him, that is, the Prophet (SAW), so that perhaps we might emulate Him. So they sent a messenger to this one and that one, and the messenger returned with just one thing: You ask about the moral character of your Prophet (SAW); the Qur’an is His character. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) would spend the night praying, and He would sleep, and He would fast, and He would break the fast, and He would have sex with the women of His household.
