{ It is lawful for you to do things [rafth] with your women on the night of fasting; they are your clothing and you are their clothing. Allah has known that you have been betraying yourselves, and He has turned to you and forgiven you; so now have sexual relations with them and seek after what Allah has ordained for you } Al-baqara 187

From Al-Baraa ibn ‘Azib who said: The Muslims, whenever they broke the fast, would eat and drink and have sex with women as long as they did not go to sleep; whenever they went to sleep they did not do anything of that sort until the following night. And Qais ibn Sarma Al-Ansari was fasting, and came to the women of his household upon breaking the fast; and his woman went out to ask for something and his eyes got the best of him and he fell asleep. At midday the next day, he had sex then, and said: Well ‘Umar came to his woman and she had been sleeping. This was mentioned to the Prophet (SAW), and the verse was brought down { It is lawful for you to do things [rafth] with your women on the night of fasting } up until His word { … the dawn }. And the Muslims were very happy about this.
