{ Oh children of Adam, take hold of your adornment at every place of worship [masjid] } Al-A’raf 31

From Ibn ‘Abbas who said: Some people from the Bedouins used to go around the House [the ka’ba] naked, to the point that women would go around the house naked with straps around their lower area like the straps that are put on the faces of donkeys to protect against flies, and they would say: Today some of it or all of it is showing, and I do not permit what is showing. So Allah Most High sent down to his Prophet (SAW) { Oh children of Adam, take hold of your adornment at every place of worship } . And so they were ordered to wear garments.
