{ And those who guard their crotches, except from their wives and what their right hands have possessed, for indeed they are not blamed; but whoever seeks beyond this, those are the transgressors } Al-mu’minun 5-7

{ Those are the transgressors } : the wrongdoers, the ones who overstep what is lawful into what is forbidden; and in this is evidence that masturbation with the hand is forbidden, which is what most scholars say. Ibn Juraij said: I asked ‘Ataa about it, and he said: It is aversive. I heard that some people push vigorously and their hands become pregnant [habala]; and I think these were the ones being referred to. And from Sa’id ibn Jubair who said: Allah brought torment on people who would play with their penises.
