هذه السورة [الأعراف] من أولها إلى آخرها في ذكر حال أهل الهوى والشهوات وما آل إليه أمرهم فالعشق والهوى أصل كل بلية
روضة المحبين ونزهة المشتاقين لإبن قيم الجوزية الباب الخامس عشر فيمن ذم العشق وتبرم به وما إحتج به كل فريق على صحة مذهبه
This surah [Al-A’raf] from its beginning to its end is a reference to people of passion and desires, and what their situation led to; for infatuation [‘ishq] and passion [hawa] are the root of all calamity.
