قرآن ﴿ لم يطمثهن إنس قبلهم ولا جان ﴾ الرحمان ٥٦
وكان بعض أهل العلم بكلام العرب من الكوفيين يقول الطمث هو النكاح بالتدمية ويقول الطمث هو الدم ويقول طمثها إذا دماها بالنكاح
تفسير الطبري
{ No man or jinn before them has caused them to bleed [yatmith-hunna] from sex } Al-rahman 56
Some of the Arabic-speaking scholars from Kufa said: Tamth means marital relations with bleeding; and they said: tamth is blood; and they said: tamathaha when a man makes a woman bleed from marital relations.
