A prudent woman ought to take notice of the man’s intention and follow it, and when a man is of those who are protective, devout, and honourable in nature, he will prefer that the woman be quiet during sex and that she maintain composure. It was narrated from the Prophet (SAW) that whenever He approached women He said: Keep it together you all; or however He said it. And among men there are those that like for women to talk on this occasion, and favor her vigorous activity during sex, and these men say: If we have intimacy with a quiet woman it is like we are having intercourse with a piece of carved wood. They have said: Indeed meals are pleasant with drinking companions to converse with. Those of the first attitude would answer this by saying: Indeed a man fulfills his own need by intercourse, and if the woman becomes vigorous with him it is as if he is fulfilling her need; indeed that which one abstains from is dear to the soul, not that which is granted.
